This carrier uses all three major wireless networks to create powerful multi-network coverage for all its users. Boost Infinite has a simple set of cell phone plans, great new-customer deals, and fair data allocations for low- and mid-data customers. This MVNO gives users the ability to switch between all three major wireless networks depending on which one is strongest at the time, helping users evade congestion in areas with larger populations.

Boost Infinite Pros and Cons

There are a lot of cell phone providers on the market, making it difficult to decide which one is the best for you. With Boost Infinite, you have, for all intents and purposes, three plans from which to choose. Let’s start with the most expensive, the Infinite Access for iPhone or Galaxy. These plans come with two huge features that work to justify the price. Infinite Access customers receive free device trade-ins every year, ensuring they keep abreast of the latest and greatest devices. The iPhone plan receives the latest iPhones, and the Galaxy plan receives the latest Galaxy S series every year. In addition to this, these plans have access to America’s Smart Network, which comprises all three major wireless networks. On these plans, Boost Infinite customers can jump between all three major wireless networks depending on which one is strongest in their area. This is a great way to evade slow data speeds, especially for travelers who are often in areas where the networks don’t all have 5G coverage. 

Boost Infinite’s second most expensive plan, Infinite Unlimited, has access to America’s Smart Network and lets the customer trade in an old device for an iPhone 15! This plan costs $50, saving you $10 a month or $120 a year. This plan provides great value to people who aren’t as interested in the stream of new devices that come with Boost Infinite’s most expensive cell phone plans. Fifty dollars a month is still a huge price tag for limited MVNO data, however, with major wireless plans starting around $65 for single-line plans. 

Rounding out Boost Infinite’s cell phone plan is their Infinite Unlimited plan at $25 a month. This is far more reasonably priced and gives single-line users the opportunity to save big on their cell phone plans. Devoid of add-ons, Infinite Unlimited asks customers to pick one major wireless network and makes them use that one exclusively with around 30 GB of high-speed data each month. Being confined to one major wireless network still lets you pick out the strongest one in your area, and as long as you don’t travel too often to remote corners of the map, you should stay covered all the time!

New devices are incredibly expensive. Boost Infinite’s premium cell phone plan lets you stay on track and upgrade your phone each year, but it comes at a high price. If you are comfortable with an older device, you can save big on your cell phone costs each year. 

PRO — Customer Service

Customer service is essential when it comes to getting a new cell phone plan. Boost Infinite’s customer service is there to help you out whenever you’re facing an issue with your cell phone or plan.  

CON — Data Consumption

Boost Infinite is best for users who only need a bit of high-speed data each month. With their cell phone plans only offering 30 GB of high-speed data, you should be comfortable working with less than that each month to ensure you aren’t stuck with slow data at the end of any month.

CON — Multi-Line Savings

Boost Infinite, unfortunately, does not offer any multi-line savings. Their plans are well-priced as is, but there is no incentive to grab some friends and go in on a multi-line plan together. Competing MVNOs offer great multi-line savings that bring the total cell phone plan cost below what Boost Infinite offers.  

CON — Data Deprioritization

As an MVNO, Boost Infinite’s data is subject to fluctuation based on the total bandwidth used in the area. This makes Boost Infinite, among other MVNOs, unreliable in terms of data speeds. Anytime there is a danger of congestion within their parent network, the high-speed data given to Boost Infinite’s customers is slowed down to allocate more bandwidth to major wireless customers. 

This congestion is seen most in big cities around the United States. In those cities, networks are robust but not strong enough to handle the city's residents and the commuters coming in for work. 

It is harder to predict the congestion in less populated cities and rural areas around the country. Festivals, concerts, and sporting events are typical times when a lot of congestion hits the area. If you’ve ever been to a football game and tried to access your phone for just about anything, we are certain that you’ve seen what it feels like to try to use data with congestion. 

At maximum congestion, no one can load anything on their device, but MVNO customers are slowed down far before major provider users are slowed down. Boost Infinite’s service operates without contracts, letting you decide whether or not this service is exemplary for you after a couple of months.

Their most expensive plan offers yearly device upgrades and access to all three major wireless networks; their Unlimited Plus plan offers access to all major wireless networks, but no yearly upgrades and their standard plan offers bare-bones 30 GB of data on the network of your choice. 
• What Network Does Boost Infinite Use? Boost Infinite operates on all three major wireless networks in the United States. All but their least expensive plan lets users utilize all three, switching between them to stay on the fastest network at any given time. You will receive great coverage no matter where you are in the United States. 
• Can You Bring Your Own Cell Phone? Yes! Boost Infinite allows new customers to bring their own phone as long as it is unlocked. To bring your device to Boost Infinite, you must check to ensure that your device is compatible with the new network, but once you double-check, it is a go! 

Boost Infinite Versus the Competition

There are loads of wireless providers competing for your attention. Finding the right provider is challenging, but it pays dividends in the long run. Many Americans pay way too much for their cell phone plan because they pay far more than they need. Boost Infinite is fantastic for users who don’t need unlimited high-speed data each month and want to save. Let’s look at how it holds up to the competition in MVNOs and major wireless providers. 

Boost Infinite vs. T-Mobile

T-Mobile has more add-ons, faster speeds, and more data in their unlimited plan. The major downside is that their plans are much, much more expensive than the plans from Boost Infinite. If you are okay with data deprioritization, we think that Boost Infinite is the perfect place to land, but if you want the surety that you will have T-Mobile’s fastest available data speeds, then it makes sense to stick with the major wireless company. 

Boost Infinite vs. Mint Mobile

Mint Mobile operates on T-Mobile’s network, and they are big competition for Boost Infinite. Mint Mobile’s cell phone plans are less expensive than what’s available at Boost Infinite, but Mint Mobile offers fewer device trade-ins and does not allow customers to switch between networks. In order to receive $30 a month for Mint’s unlimited plan (35 GB high-speed data), you need to sign up for a yearlong contract. If you prefer the flexibility of Boost Infinite’s no-contract plans, then they are the winner. 

Boost Infinite vs. Visible

Visible is an MVNO that operates on Verizon’s network, and it is one of our favorite MVNOs in the competition at this time. Their major downside, however, is that they only offer unlimited plans. They have two plans, and both are unlimited. Against Boost Infinite, however, we recommend Visible, as their basic unlimited high-speed data plan is only $20 a month.  

Boost Infinite: Review Summary

The Good

• Competitive prices among MVNOs. Boost Infinite has high prices, but they offer a lot. Boost Infinite is among the pricier MVNOs, and they have a lot of add-ons to their cell phone plans.  
• Major wireless networks. If you switch to Boost Infinite, you get to enjoy savings while leveraging every single major wireless network at once. Your phone will jump between them autonomously, keeping you at high speeds as long as possible throughout your day. 
• International calling and texting. Boost Infinite has services in place that allow users to call China, Mexico, and India for free and access a wide variety of other countries for low rates. 
• New customer deals. No matter the time of the year, Boost Infinite offers deals on their plans or their phones for new customers. 
• High phone selection. Boost Infinite has a store populated with all the latest and greatest devices, and they offer big incentives to purchase new devices through their cell phone plans or their online store. You can purchase phones directly from the retailer or stores like Best Buy that are not attached to any provider, allowing you to make an easy switch.

The Bad

• No multi-line savings. Boost Infinite’s plans do not offer any savings for multi-line plans. 
• Data deprioritization. It is not a surprise, but your data will slow whenever there is a high strain on the bandwidth in your area. There is no guarantee that it will happen, especially as T-Mobile creates a stronger network, but it is always possible. 
• No physical stores. This is not a big deal for most, but there is no place where you can bring your phone if you run into issues. There is always 24/7 online customer support if you need assistance!

There’s a lot to like about Boost Infinite. Excellent network, affordable plans, and a well-stocked store. It’s not all good, of course, but Boost Infinite is high on our list of excellent mobile providers. If you are willing to rock a cell phone plan with limited data, Boost Infinite is the way to go!
